The Coach House’s true splendour lies in its location. It is perfectly suited for both the guests that want to traverse Holmfirth and those that want to enjoy the beauty of the Yorkshire landscape. Within a short distance from the city’s centre, it is easy to trek into town to enjoy many of the festivities including Yorkshire Day Celebrations in early August, the Summer Wine Bus Tour and the General Craft Market in September.
For nature lovers, the House is located in the beautiful Holme Valley just to the north of the enormous Peak District National Park. Nearby is the Pennine Way and the Trans-Pennine Trail, a coast-to-coast gentle gradient trail that connects the North and Irish seas. For those with a flair for history, Bronte Country, home to windswept heather and wild moors that inspired the famous literature of the Bronte sisters, is less than 20 miles away.
