Holmfirth Festival of Folk
May 8th – 10th
The Holmfirth Festival of Folk offers visitors a weekend of music, dance, workshops, and activities for the children. The Festival takes place on the streets of Holmfirth with live music from internationally acclaimed artists performed in many of the town’s pubs.
The Holmfirth Festival of Folk is a great way to discover and experience new music, and new artists, and always promises to be a fun-packed few days for all the family to enjoy.

Holmfirth Film Festival
May 22nd – 29th
The Holmfirth Film Festival is a celebration of Holmfirth’s role in the foundation of the British film industry. Centred around the popular Picturedrome theatre, the Holmfirth Film Festival aims to showcase a plethora of the best new northern, and international films, alongside the achievements of the past.
Thanks to local support, the festival will also run a number of workshops, lectures and film-making competitions appealing to film fans young and old.

Holmfirth Arts Festival
June 5th – 28th
The Holmfirth Arts Festival takes place right across the Holme Valley, and is an event that appels to all ages. The Arts Festival also accompanies an Art Market hosting activities such as a photography competition, concerts, recitals, performances, and art workshops.

The Honley Show
June 13th
The Honley Show is without question one of the best attended, and most prestogious rural shows to be held in the county.
This largely traditional agricultural show features livestock, stalls, handicrafts, gymkhana and fancy-dress. There are classes for cattle, sheep, horses, goats, dogs with trade stands, brass bands and many other attractions.
Harden Moss Sheepdog Trials
June 19th – 21st
Over 200 working dogs compete over this three day event.
Holmfirth Art Week
July 5th – 11th
Holmfirth Art Week sees hundreds of local amateur and professional artists join together in the town to display their work. The main exhibition is in the Civic Hall in the centre of Holmfirth, but fringe events take place around the Holme Valley.
Holmfirth Art Week has long been a local event but has quickly gained itself a national reputation, with visitors flocking to the event from all around the country.

Holmfirth Duck Race
July 5th
The Holmfirth Duck Race is an annual event organised by Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table. To date over £200,000 has been raised with all proceeds going to mainly local charities. The Gala includes entertainment, food, drink inc. licensed bar, and fair ground.
Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival
September 26th – 27th
This festival celebrates the best foods from around the world with cookery demonstrations, stalls and markets.
December
A variety of craft markets and concerts will take place in the run up to Christmas.
