What’s more British then a good sized portion of fresh Fish and Chips? This national delicacy has been enjoyed by British families for over 150 years, and whilst its popularity has been overtaken by more exotic takeaway cuisines – fish and chips still remains king of the takeaways to many.
If you’re childhood was anything like mine, you might have fond memories of spending day trips to the coast walking around in the rain while digging into a tray of salty, vinegary chips with a wooden spoon.
Fish and chips are versatile like that, great for a quick snack or a late tea. But for some reason they always taste better in the open air. So the next time you’re pottering around the narrow streets or Holmfirth or roaming the countryside trails, consider calling in to a local chippy for some fish and chip refuelling!
